I like to get to work at 8:00am, even though I don’t start until 9am.  That gives me time to answer some personal emails, (write a blog entry or two), get my desk sorted for the day.  Its quiet here then. 

The Procaps building is in the final stages of the renovation (we added on a new wing) and there are service people here who keep ringing the freaking doorbell, now they don’t just press it once, they press it like 10 times.   I think they see me, and are trying to irritate me.  Mission successful.

Part of my just wants to ignore them, to spite them.

Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

I might not have got an office, but I did swing a new office chair for myself today. Pev offered to let me have one of the extras from the new wing.

A nice wide back, plush seats, smooth gliding, comfortable arm rests.

Perhaps I needed to approach this office thing in Baby Steps. . . . First the chair, then a private parking space, then the office. . . . .I need to learn to be patient. . . I’ve only worked here a little over a year. . . .

The new addition on the Procaps building is complete, and everyone is moving into their new offices.

One was ’supposed’ to be for me. . . but that didn’t really pan out. Oh well I guess.

Maybe next addition. . . .ha HA!

Do you use the speed dials on your work phone?

I do.

Every single speed dial my phone allows (which for the record is not very many) is used. I have 23 numbered speed dials and 16 quick button speed dials.

I got questioned why I have certain people in certain spots on my speed dial, and truly no other reason than I need to phone that person, and I’m too freaking lazy to learn their phone number

Why does so-and-so have a button, why is such-and-such so far down the list. . . .Well, I can’t remember the last time I phoned one of our execs, but I harass Ronan daily. . .so thats why I have a Ronan button. . . .

It seems to me that I remember a Seinfeld episode about this (Gawd I hate Seinfeld! - that will be another blog)

I love to watch paintball, especially X Ball.

Ive always enjoyed the hooting and hollering of the stands, really makes the game feel electric.

Ive done my share of yelling profanities, screaming at refs, yelling at other spectators. . . .but one thing Id never stoop so low to is the false start.

When I was at the CXBL Eastern Conference 1st event, I witnessed numerous teams losing players to the false start. . . I asked the people in question not to do the false starts and I was told This is X Ball it doesnt fucking matter And I agree to a degree yelling and screaming during is fair game but the false starts. . .How un-sportsman like.

It made me very mad, so I told two people to fuck off. That made me feel better.
