I might not have got an office, but I did swing a new office chair for myself today. Pev offered to let me have one of the extras from the new wing.

A nice wide back, plush seats, smooth gliding, comfortable arm rests.

Cheers Pev, my butt thanks you.

Perhaps I needed to approach this office thing in Baby Steps. . . . First the chair, then a private parking space, then the office. . . . .I need to learn to be patient. . . I’ve only worked here a little over a year. . . .

So Colin and I have started watching “How I Met Your Mother” with Neil Patrick Harris.

It wasn’t until just the other day we realised that Barry on this show is the same guy who played ‘Dougie Howser, MD’!!!!

I’m actually impressed - isn’t the sign of a good actor is someone who can squash their ‘typecast’ roll.

Suit up, Dougie!!!

This week Neil Patrick Harris came out as gay. I’m trying to figure out if this comes as any surprise. He was awfully friendly with Vinnie in him Dougie days. . . . . hummmmmm.

Ok. I’ve lived in Quebec for well over a year now. I should just learn to get over it.

I just don’t understand the blatant disregard for the rules of the road here. Why can’t these people use their bloody signals?

I have made it my mission to NEVER let anyone into my lane or merge in if they don’t signal. My crusade thus far has yielded 6 middle fingers, 10 horns and 3 engine revs.

I will not rest. I will not let down. I will be vigilant.

I tell you, I grit my teeth with the gnawing feeling of road rage as it flows up through every part of my being to a near point of boiling. . . .Why does this get to me so bad???

Colin says I’m anal-retentive about the whole thing. I do however feel I must practise what I preach.

Colin is slowing becoming one of them. Forgetting to signal once in a while when turning corners, making lane changes without signalling. . .

I wonder if soon, if I too will be afflicted! I’m scared for myself.

Dan plays for Russian Legion, and thus far I haven’t been able to get a Dan Russian Legion. This one is signed by Dan, as well as his new RL team mate, Dave Baines.

I’m bored.

I have a small list of things I should be doing. But I’m just not in a worker bee mentality right now. . . . .

I’m thinking about all the cleaning I have to do at my place this weekend. I’ve avoided the soap scum in the shower long enough.

Glad its friday. Can I go home yet?

It is with great sadness that I learned last night of the death of Dr. Michael Galant - a Military Doctor who was serving in Iraq. He was killed in the line of duty when his convoy was destroyed by a road-side bomb.

Dr Gallant is survived by his wife, Dr Neela Rasgotra - an ER doctor at County General in Chicago and his parents. His father is an active serviceman.

Michael was a character on ER, my favourite show. Every part of my being is embarrased about the fact that I was truly upset last night to learn of his death. Its a very sad state of affairs that this is how the war effects me.

It is truly amazing that I don’t think about the women and men serving across seas everyday.

I know I’ll think about it today.

RIP Micheal Gallant.

I bought some mini ice cream sandwiches this week.I got home after a long day at work, and a gruelling drive back to the burbs, low and behold the box of ice cream sandwiches has been opened.

Not one, not two, not even just six were gone. 11 out of the 12 in the box were gone.

Colin had eaten the whole box - minus that one - in a day!

I’m sure had I not come home when I did, he would have polished off the box! That made me grumpy.
