Tomorrow is the long anticipated one hour season premiere of The Family Guy. At least Colin has been long anticipating it. . . . .

This kick off to the fifth season of Fox’s animated hit “the Family Guy” will see the Family Guy characters morphed into Star wars characters, who will recount Star Wars : Episode IV A New Hope.

The Family Guy creator Seth MacFarlane is a huge Star Wars fan, and worked tirelessly to get George Lucas’ blessing to do the episode.

Stewie as Darth Vader. . . . does it get better than that????

The snacks are ready, the chicken wings are in the freezer, the beer is cooling. . . . . . . At this historic moment, will you be able to say “I know where I was”???

Finnegan’s Market

4 08 2007

Colin and I went to Finnegan’s Flea Market today.

Colin hates this stuff, but he did it anyways.  Because I like them.

I’ve been looking for chairs.  I’d like to buy 6 different and unique chairs, and refinish them the same.   I’ve always loved the look of the different chairs on “Friends”  in Monica’s kitchen.  Currently I have the SAME chair in different colours, now I want DIFFERENT chairs all in black.

Colin vowed not to buy anything all day, and in the end - I ended up chairless, and Colin ended up with 2 jars of homemade steak seasoning and a book about the FBI (with the Forward by J.Edgar Hoover)  Total cost for the day, $9.00.

After the market we went to water, and watched the wind surfers and jet skiers on Oka beach. . .

It was a beautiful hot day, and it was nice to get some more colour in my face.

Not The Scariest Guy On the Train

3 08 2007

Colin commutes to work on the train. Normally he gets a row of seats to himself, even when the train is hot, busy and crowded.

Colin is a big, broad man. His large frame slumped into the seats, mustach and goatee, dark sunglasses listening to his iPod. Shoulders hunched and arms crossed, usually wearing a biker hoodie.

Needless to say, if you didn’t know Colin he perhaps doesn’t have the air of the most approachable person on the train, and simple not the person you want to sit next to. Either that or a younger blonde member of ZZ Top - and I believe its a common fear to be afraid of ZZ Top.

Tonight, someone DID sit with Colin on the train. And HE was the scariest guy on the train.

Meet Skull Face. . . .

I couldn’t believe that a quick Google search actually found pictures of the guy!!

For those who are interested in body modification, and extreme tattoos you might have already seen this guy (who’s name I couldn’t find). What I was able to find out about our friend is that he is from Montreal, (still lives here) and had this extreme tattoo done at Derm FX Tattoo by “Frank” here in Montreal.

What a brave man for getting this tattoo, what a brave artist for creating it! I just don’t know how you’d get something like this!

I wonder what this guy does for a living!?!? Imagine going to a job interview with tattoos like this?

Colin and I have been looking at the pictures, and we are trying to imagine him smiling too. . . .we just can’t see him smiling. . . .

The Daughter She Never Had

13 06 2007

Its our wedding anniversary this week.  5 years.  A long time by today’s poor standard of marriage.

Both my parents and Colin’s parents are still married.  Its almost like we are out of the norm having both sets of parents in 30 year plus marriages.

Mrs Graham sent us a lovely anniversary card, and this card convinces me I’m the daughter she never had.

Read closely. . . . . .

In addition to the card my Mother in Law sent, was a postcard sent by our mortgage broker.

It was about how to buy your Ex’s share of the house WHEN your marriage fails!

Interesting sense of timing on that, eh??

Poooooooohey!  Colin is stuck with me for a very very very very very very long time!  :)
I love you Colin.

Happy Birthday Colin

10 06 2007

Happy Birthday Colin. I love you so much. I hope you have a great day!

Weekend Round-Up

3 06 2007

Colin and I drove back early Saturday Morning back to Toronto to make a few visits.  Its was exhausting, as it was pretty darn hot.

Saturday Morning :

Drove back to Toronto, made good time.  Went to mall did a few errands, and bought steaks from Wally’s meats for Sunday Dinner.

Saturday Afternoon :

When to my families house, we hung out in the yard, went swimming in the pool and ate BBQ chicken and shrimp.  An informal party for Colin and I who are celebrating our 5th wedding anniversary next week. (pictures to follow)

Saturday Night :

The real reason for the trip.  We went to see Ryan (and his parents Chris & Christine) - they have just moved into their newly built house and we wanted to scope out the new diggs.

The house is beautiful, and they will be happy there for a long time to come.

We were having such a nice time eating the awesome mexican fayre and drinking margaritis & sangria that I didn’t take pictures.  I suck

Sunday Morning :

We had a few more errands we needed to run, we picked up a few birthday gifts for Paul, Kate and Mr Graham.

Sunday Afternoon :

We had dinner with the Graham’s and P&K.   Colin BBQ’ed the big steaks we bought.  He is very talented on the grill now.   After lunch we headed over to see my parents again before we left.  My dad made me take some of my storage boxes.  They are trying to clear out some ‘junk’ because I think they would like to start looking at selling the house.

Anyhooooo, thats about it :)

Who The Heck Keeps Google-ing Me?

9 05 2007

The past few days I’ve got a huge number of hits from people searching ‘me’ and Colin.

Now I’ve never hidden ‘my identity’ with my blog, but all the same - who the heck are all these lurkers??

You know who I am, who the heck are you? :)

If Only I Could Do Prom All Over Again

24 04 2007

Please check out this site “STUCK AT THE PROM”

With my prom date, who is now my husband of almost 5 years, being a Connoisseur and Aficionado of the glorious fix-all product Duct Tape I’m sure he would have been game for this. . .  .

The things we give out scholarships for. . . . .

Love it!    Here is 2006s winners.  Yes, the whole darn thing is made of Duct Tape!  Amazing, eh?

  Another past entry.

Getting Rear Ended sucks Arse.

17 04 2007

We got rear ended this morning.

I was at a stop sign and the lady behind me just kept driving, up my arse.

There is no physical (to the eye) damage to the car, but I’m taking it in to be sure.  If there is damage the lady has been told to expect the bill.

My neck is stiff from being tense, and all I’ve been able smell all morning is “airbag”.

And anyone who has been in an accident of any size or magnitude that the airbag goes off knows you become very senstive to that scent.  I think it triggers fear and cold for me

I’m fine.  No bumps or bruises.  I’m shaken, as is expected.

Happy Easter.

8 04 2007

Happy Easter everyone.

Colin got me a chocolate cat for easter. . . . check out the FREAKY eyes!!!
