Hungry Bum & “Sne”

31 03 2007

If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!

When I was younger there were very few things that my sister and I had in common, there was a few things however, that made us laugh our asses off. Many of things things sprung from going back and forth from the various dance competitions we competed in when we were younger. Last week when I went to the dance competition it was the first time in a long time that we had one of our famous laugh till it hurts fits.

One of the biggest things that made us laugh was Hungry Bum and Sne.

Hungry Bum, as the name suggests, is when your bum “eats” your pants. Sne on the otherhand is an acronyn, for “Spontaneous Nipple Erection” . Both afflictions run rampened at dance competitions. . . .

(This is a picture I took with Chris and Christine during a visit to Montreal)

It was wonderful to laugh with my sister. I miss her. I wish we could hang out and laugh like that more often.

Blog Tease!

30 03 2007

I recently received two blog awards.   The Thinking Blogger Award, and the Professional Blog Tease.

I made an entry about the Thinking Blogger Award, as I wanted to enjoy that “win” .  So now I’d like to make my formal “thank you speech”  for the Professional Blog Tease award and enjoy that win too. :) The entry that won me that award was probably one of the most shocking.  Not for what I wrote, but for the reaction I received.  I suppose deep down I knew I’d ruffle feathers, but it did feel good to be honest.

Thank you Skywindows for giving me the first Professional Blog Tease Award.  As I said on your blog, I’m surprised, embarassed, ashamed and very very proud all at the same time.

As most of you now, I’ve been recently trying my hand at sewing.  In one of my efforts to find a couple of easy free patterns to test out my sewing abilities, I came across this site: Threadbared

This site is filled with vintage pattern pictures with very funny captions.  You don’t have to be a sewer to enjoy this one, in fact the ladies who do this site aren’t sewers at all.

Who Would have Thought?

29 03 2007

A huge thank you to fracas for Tagging me for the “Thinking Blogger Award” here. I am very honoured. Its surely a boost to think that your blog challenges others to think, or laugh, or to simply enjoy what you write. And that enjoyment is bar none the most important part of having an audience to your blog.

Cute Cat Picture OVERLOAD

29 03 2007

One of the most enjoyable parts of blogging with Wordpress specifically is the blog stats.  I very much enjoy the “keyword search”, which tells me what words people use to surf into my blog.  One of the pictures I linked to eons ago was entitled “cute-cat.jpg” and usually I get a ton of hits to my blog for that picture.  So to make my public happy, I have complied a whole bunch of “cute cat” pictures for your viewing pleasure. . . .

Thinking about Inking. . . .again

29 03 2007

I have been thinking about tattoos again recently, and I came across this tattoo that I love.

Look at the colours, the details. . .  .ohhhh.  Isn’t it fab?

I wish I had the guts to do it. . . . .

Motorbikes and Sandles

29 03 2007

Its Spring.

I broke out my sandles today (finally my feet are free of their stocking prisions).  I really could use a nice lick of nail polish on the tootsies though.   (NO Christine, I REFUSE to go for a pedicure, we’ve discussed that a million times already hahahah)

The couple of guys who ride motorcycles to work all rode their bikes in today, a true first sign a Spring and the warmer weather to come.

Yeahhhhhhh.

Mind the Gap . . . In this Guy’s head!

29 03 2007

I have no freaking clue what this guy was thinking. . .  .but even thought its a stupid thing to do, I must confess I still think this guy is awesome.  He skis down the longest elevator in the London Tube system.   And because I know where that is (in fact I’ve been on that very escalator) I thought I would also post up some cool London Tube facts!

oh, and by the way, the station is Angel Station with 318 steps (Over 200 feet).

Project Code Name: Sewing Guinea Pig Subject: Music to my Ears

28 03 2007
  • Project Code Name : Sewing Guinea Pig
  • Subject : IPod Holder.
  • Mission :Your mission, should you choose to accept it, make a nice small gift to send to your new sister in law. Make it up as you go along.

————————————————————

For Christmas P gave K a red Ipod, I thought since I’m on a sewing streak I thought I’d make her an Ipod holder. I’ve got it ready to send in the post tomorrow.

I even made a little pocket on the back for earphones.

I didn’t make a pattern, I just played it by ear. . . .

Get it “played it by ear” . . . .man I crack myself up. . . .  . .

Getting a New Puppy

28 03 2007

Now before anyone jumps to conclusions, and thinks I’ve switched sides from “cat person” to “dog person”  I’m just posting up a joke.   I’m too far into the cat fold to go back now!  hahah

Breederx visited my site earlier, so I took a quick little gander at their little place on the expansive blogosphere. . . .

This entry, cut and pasted below, gave me quite a giggle - so I had to repost it.
